Awareness is what Pinktober is all about. Wearing pink, listening to survivors share their stories and showing up to support our friends and family reminds us that breast cancer affects everyone. Whether you personally are diagnosed or not chances are you have someone in your life who has been directly affected by breast cancer be it a family member a neighbor or a friend from work. Through awareness we are empowered to take control of our health by participating in regular screenings and committing to a healthy lifestyle.
CEO and Founder Cashmere Nicole’s mission with Beauty Bakerie is to empower people to be their best selves no matter what life hands them. When she was going through her breast cancer treatment she had a choice, she could choose to be bitter and let the cancer win or she could be better, keep her head up, survive and thrive. She chose the latter and with a sound treatment plan from her medical professionals and some serious self-care, she was able to beat cancer and build Beauty Bakerie into the company it is today. Now she uses her company as a platform and vehicle for empowerment. She shares her story to give others hope that no matter what they’re up against they truly can accomplish anything.
“Life is sure to hand us lemons, but I strongly believe that it is up to us to change our perspective on how we deal with adversity. I overcame the struggles of teenage parenting, and I overcame breast cancer and loss only to arrive at a place of peace. It is the sweetest peace I’ve known. Truly indescribable. This, Beauty Bakerie, is a piece of that peace that I want to share with you” –Cashmere Nicole
